Needs new headlight, turn signals (front and rear), gas tank, wheels re-laced/trued (broken spokes, front and rear), as well as a complete tune-up. etc. My first bike after being used to working on import cars (Hondas mostly), and I must say, it's rather easy to tinker on. It's like an oversized Lego, except much louder. Getting some stuff powdercoated soon, so I'll have to take pics. Anyone know if it's a huge pain in the ass to remove the triple trees? Was hoping to get them powdercoated, not sure if it's going to be a pain in the ass to remove them or not. Same goes for the lower parts of the forks.... going for the 'Midnight Custom' look.....

lol i know how it is going from cars to bikes. i turned wrenches for 10 years. trees arent that hard to get off .. I had the forks off to remove the tin covers, and it looked like all I needed to remove was the bolt in the neck... seemed simple enough. I'll be messing with it this weekend, chances are I'm going to be finishing cutting the rear fender and taking some stuff apart to take to the powdercoating shop nearby....

gosh by looking at it i wouldnt know where to start lol newbie so its all new to me It's not nearly as hard as it looks. Big thing is to just remember the order the stuff has to be put back on, and don't lose any of the smaller bolts. They're easy to misplace.... lol
